16 Dipterocarp Species Found In Bohol
As of July, 2009, the SWCF’s Dipterocarp Tree Domestication Project reported a total of 16 species of Dipterocarps identified in the province of Bohol. These species are, so far, found in 24 towns of the province. Batuan tops the rest of the towns as having the most species (12) followed by Sierra Bullones (11) and Danao (9). Book Corner Program Benefits 110 Children
The 2009 SWCF Book Corner Program established a total of 7 Book Corners in public day care centers in two towns in the province of Bohol and a special center for prostituted youth in Cebu Cebu. The beneficiary towns are Batuan and Danao. The Book Corners benefited 110 enrollees of the public Day Care Centers and 50 youth clients of the FORGE Foundation Activity Center in Cebu City.
